CD1500M Drills 813M on its First Week of Production
21 Jun 2017 8:25 AM -
Seven months in and Cougar Drilling are off and running.
Now with 3 rigs in service, we’re thrilled with our start and grateful at the confidence our mining partners have shown in our rising business.
We saw an opportunity as a new service provider in a tough marketplace. We have realised success with our well known team of senior managers with over 50 years combined experience. We believe this is a testament to the willingness of Australia’s underground coal industry to believe in good people with the vision to succeed.
That vision is the driving force behind the development of the CD1500M – a rig designed with the current needs of the industry in mind.
Led by Cougar Drilling’s Engineer, Roger Bissett, the CD1500M is an inseam directional rig with long hole capacity of 1,500m in depth, the capability to set the feed bed between -15 and +30 degrees and an adjustable working height such that rods can still be loaded safely at any angle.
Roger has been one of the global coal industry’s leading rig designers for the past decade. We welcome his expertise, energy and ambition to partner with end users to bring innovative solutions to the Australian coal industry.
Watch this space for the new CD1500T, the track-mounted version of the ‘M’, currently in progress and set to hit the market within the next 6 months.
